Areas of Practice

Bernadette Day and the team specialise in the following areas of practice

Wills and Estates

We can assist you with preparing a new will or amending a current will.

We can also assist you by drafting an Enduring Power of Attorney or Advance Care Directive, which will allow you to choose who will manage your legal, financial, medical and lifestyle affairs should you become incapacitated at some point in your lifetime.

If you have had a family member or somebody close to you pass away, you may need assistance with obtaining Probate or Letters of Administration to manage the person’s estate. We can also assist by advising you of your obligations and assisting you to undertake estate administration and management.

Business and Commercial

We assist individuals, sole traders, partnerships, associations and companies. We work with clients to understand their business.

Whether you are looking to create a new business, working to grow your current business or looking at takeover options, we advise clients at any stage of their business’ life cycle.

We advise on documentation such as contracts, agreements, licences and leases.

We can also work with you to negotiate with another party to ensure that your risk is managed and your best interests are met.

Dispute Resolution

Whether it be communicating with other parties to negotiate a matter or putting forward a proposal for settlement, we work tirelessly for our clients to ensure that the best possible outcome is reached.

We have experience assisting clients with a variety of matters from consumers who have purchased a faulty product to landlords who are having difficulties with tenants.

We navigate legal issues for our clients and we do so with empathy and an understanding of the stressors associated with appearing before a Court or a Tribunal.

We strive to achieve the best outcome for our clients and we do so with a friendly voice.

Bernadette Day is a former member of the South Australian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (SACAT) and is well versed in Tribunal proceedings.  She can bring experience to your Tribunal matter and provide you with the best possible representation.
